- What issue, problem, or situation is your project responding to? How do you know this is an issue, problem, or situation that needs addressing? Tell me about how you came to be aware of this situation and what you currently understand about it.
- Explain your project, including the context of the document(s) you created, the audience, and the purpose. I am particularly interested in why you made the decisions you did. For instance, why do you imagine the genre you chose is most effective for your purpose and audience?
- What do you see as the strengths and weaknesses of this draft? What would you do if you had more time to work on it?
- Because of the short amount of time between now and when the portfolio is due, I will not be giving you cumulative feedback. Instead, I will focus on any small changes that need to happen before the portfolio. In this spirit, do you have any specific questions for me?

Cover Letter Instructions (Initiating Action)
Your cover letter should be in a Word document. If your project is in Word, insert the cover letter at the beginning. If not, create a Word document for your cover letter, making sure your name is on it.
