Purpose: Does there appear to be a clear purpose to the portfolio, based on these essays? How would you summarize that purpose, based on what you have read?

Writer (ethos): What image of the writer is presented here? What kind of person do you imagine the writer to be, based on what the writer says here and how s/he says it?

Audience (pathos): What in these essays seem particularly well-written for the intended audience and what could be tweaked to attend even more to the audience?

Claims (logos): Which claims are strongest? Which need strengthening? What might the writer add to the portfolio to make these claims stronger? Where do you see the writer backing up claims using the portfolio materials and where else might this happen?
